(no subject)

I trust everyone's gone back to their original genders and stowed their memories back up behind safe walls for now.

Tick-tock, listen to the clock.

And as for the health of those, are people still sick? I'm hungry, a girl needs to eat, and sick people taste terrible

I'll put them somewhere special.

Everything always does go back, sooner or later.

Is he? Oh, how good to hear. I'm afraid he drew one of the more uncomfortable curses this time around--and to think, it was his first one, too.

It was the least I could do, certainly.

Well, we do tend to die young. Or half-die. I expect I'm fairly close to succumbing, myself, and then I'll only be like any other human woman.

I like keeping dreams alive, though. Even bad ones. Is that worthwhile? Maybe people would be better off without dreams.

I meant it wasn't any trouble at all, and I was glad to be of help.

...Pardon? Bother me?

Only the sturdier half, though. Kill this human body and the sluagh dies with her, kill the sluagh and the human lives on. The world seems to have rather outgrown us, is the thing. The banal world is like a slow poison, or a cancer. Some long disease that always wins.

But what about you, my mysterious friend?

Yes
Sometimes

I...think he's rather in need of a friend, and an understanding one at that. So I do try to be that sort of friend, even when he, er...stares.

That's remarkable. I think we can agree by pure numbers you've definitely won the advantage--you have your purpose and your survival, and I'm all shadows and string.

It's not that I think he means to be impolite by it! It's just a bit, er, unnerving at times.

Oh, as a vampire? The body dies, and so does the sluagh. Just because the body keeps walking and talking doesn't change that. The new creature almost always forgets what they were, although you do hear stories of it being otherwise.

I...hadn't noticed, actually. Are they?

I really don't think that would be the best of ideas.
