Tick-tock, tick tock. I hear a clock but I don't see one.

I don't know where I am, and that's not particularly common. But it does seem very...I don't think familiar is the right term. Although it feels that, too. Interesting.

Are you from New York originally?

No, but that's where I live now.

I spent a little time there, a few years ago. Nice enough place.

And now?

Back home in Miami. Or, I was, until I ended up here.

I've only been there once.

You travel a lot?

I took a year off school, to travel.

A good experience to have, I think.

I certainly enjoyed it.

So where are you from?

Namibia, originally.

So New York is quite a trip to have made.

I lived in Baltimore for a very long time.

I've never been.

I like it.

What do you do, back home?

I'm a mechanical engineer. I work mostly on industrial looms, but I prefer cars.

It seems like there'd be a considerable difference between the two.

Yes, there is. I interned with Ferrari, for a period, when I was a student.

You must be pretty good at what you do.

I am obsessive, about what I do.

And you?

I'm a prosthetist. Though here, I do a little more general medical work.
